Out of many news highlights last week, the one that has attracted the most interest was the hydro-project conference. It was the first water conference that is called by the CCCP (the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China) since the PRC was founded. According to the Xinhua News Agency, it was made clear in the conference that it is essential and urgent task to develop hydro-reform projects. These projects have major impacts on the Socialist Modernization move as well as the long term development of China as a nation.
